I completely agree with the author and I'd go further: The problem is not iPad specific, but rather applies to tablets in general. Unlike the cellphones, tablets cannot be carried in your pocket, and unlike laptops, they don't have a keyboard, making them very inconvenient to produce data.
ResponderExcluirOn top of that, tablets don't "sit" naturally in your lap or on a table in a reading position. You got to hold the device in a reading position, which is not as convenient, and if you want to produce data, chances are you need both hands -- one to hold the tablet, the other to type.
Perfect remark, Paga (as usual :-)
ResponderExcluirOk, ok Visma & Paga. We 3 agree. But I must confess: bought one for me. IT'S AMAZING!
ResponderExcluirI have a tablet (not an iPad, but it's pretty top of the line for Androids,) and I just don't use the thing very much. I can't find a good use for it. My daughter sometimes plays games on it, but that's it. It's really inconvenient for fast-typists and as I said, a nuisance to use when you're sitting down without a table in front of you. It's probably a good thing for people who work standing/walking and need to take quick notes. Not my case, definitely.
ResponderExcluirTo me, it's more of one of those "Hey let me go to hang with the cool kids at Starbucks and show I belong with them with my expensive toy..."
I'll pass...
