No matter how crowded the train, young people in Korea will never sit on the seats at the end of each car. They are reserved for older people, and everyone respects that. I saw these seats left empty at rush hour, when the train was otherwise standing room only.
It says something interesting about Korean cultural values.
They still have deep traditions of respect, and are a very polite people, but they also have a dynamism, even a streak of flamboyance.
I'm very glad that I came to Korea for the Seoul Digital Forum. I like it here. A lot. This is an important place with a lot to teach the world.
