Scientists in England are building their STRaND-2 micro-satellites using a Google Nexus as its onboard computer and Kinect as its automatic docking system.
Cheapskate geniuses at the University of Surrey and Surrey Satellite Technology say the Nexus and Kinect enable them to use docking on very small and very low-cost missions -- something that has never been done before.
