9 things most bloggers don't know about Google+

I have been on a tear lately learning about ins and outs of Google+ for blogs such as #Blogger   and #wordpress .

These are self-sufficient platforms and to many Google's incessant reminders about G+ come across as so much nagging.

Is there a blogger in your life? Share this information with him or her!

Bloggers I know have two big issues with Google+.

1) They want to blog anonymously,

and

2) They want anyone to be able to comment on their blogs.

The good news is that blogging under a pen name or an institutional or brand identity is totally possible with Google+ in a number of different ways.

3) You can promote your blog on Google+ without connecting your blog to your profile.

4) You can connect your blog to your profile in ways that do not show.

5) You can set up a separate Google+ identity for your blog, a G+ page.

A Google+ page is the most comprehensive solution for those blogging under an identity for a blog or business or organization.

6) Here's the best way to set up a Google+ page for a blog:

7) Here is a sort of hypothetical example:

When it comes to Google+ comments on blogs, the choice is tougher. On the one hand,

8) Google+ commenting is limited to people with G+ accounts.

On the other,

9) Google+ comments are wired to promote your blog posts.

You are on Google+, so you probably know this already.  Most bloggers don't.
